This post will be brief.
One of the many things I love about living in Austin are the hike and bike trails. I think I’ve said it before, but it needs to be repeated – I love walking around the Town Lake hike and bike trails (Lady Bird Johnson Lake). I also like the Shoal Creek Greenbelt. Although I have never (but I will one day) walked or biked the Barton Springs Greenbelt, I hear it’s great from friends I respect on this subject. Below are links to maps of these trails:
If you’re coming to Austin for a visit, please bring your walking/running clothes/shoes and/or your bike and enjoy the Austin area trails. For example – Let’s say you are in Austin on a Saturday… you could walk, run, and/or bike the trails before going to lunch at one of many great Austin area restaurants, and then head over to the Saturday Matinee Show at the Continental Club at 3PM. After the Matinee, take a nice long nap, then go to a late dinner and live music. Good times, good times….
Special THANKS to the Austin Parks Department for taking great care of our trails/parks/greenbelts…
As always, comments are welcome…
SPECIAL NOTE: If you forget your walking, running, or biking gear, Austin is blessed to have a great running store and many great bike shops (see Blogroll on the right side of page)… So no excuses kids…
